Club Linesman Workshop

Dear Member Clubs,

The Mid Herts Rural Minors League are pleased to be able to inform you that we have arranged another Club Linesman Workshop to help your willing volunteers learn a little bit more about how to “run the line”.

The Workshop will be delivered by Hertfordshire FA’s Referee Development Officer (and ex-Premier League and FIFA Assistant Referee) Phil Sharp.

We have booked the main hall of the Shamrock Club in Welwyn Garden City for Thursday the 10th of November 2016 from 8.00 to 10.00 pm. The doors will be open from 7.45 pm.

Please pass this information onto your team managers who need to find a linesman each week. The Workshop is intended for the adult volunteers who need the help. It is not designed for already qualified Referees or for players who would like to become Referees. It is genuinely aimed at the keen adults who would like some helpful advice. Therefore, there is a minimum age of 16 for attendees.

Phil will make the evening fun, informative and active! I’m sure everyone who attends will learn a lot and have a good time. Participants do not need to bring anything along as everything needed will be provided.

In order to book a place, please ask your Club Linesmen to send an email to Gordon Marshall, our Referee Development Officer at refereedevelopment@midherts.com

We will strictly only accept individual bookings please and we will not accept block bookings from Clubs.

Although there will be no charge for the Workshop, the League hopes that people who book to attend actually do so as non-attendance deprives a place to someone else that wanted to be there. Places are limited to 30 so make sure the applications are sent in as soon as possible. Full details will be sent directly to participants.

These Workshops are popular, we will aim to repeat it, possibly at another venue next year.

Kind regards.

17th and 18th of September

Dear Member Clubs,

It is with great sadness that I must advise you that Laurie Carroll who was registered to Bengeo Tigers U10’s was involved in a car accident last Saturday and sadly passed away at the weekend.

Bengeo Tigers and the Management Committee of the Mid Herts would like to hold a minutes applause (rather than silence) at every game this coming weekend and would hope that all Managers/Coaches and Players will respect this request.

It is a very very sad time for Laurie’s family and friends and our thoughts and prayers are with them.

League Update 09.09.16

Dear Member Clubs

It has come to light that odd players are missing from your team sheets. For some reason the day and the month swapped themselves making them either too young or too old.

If you are missing players please email me the club and team name and I will get rectified as soon as practically possible.

Kind regards.

League Update

Dear Member Clubs,

I am pleased to report that Mitoo has been set up and is now live. The first weekend of fixtures have been released and the following two weekends will be done shortly.

We will not be using Full time, so please do not input any data onto that website.

Please find attached the guidance notes on how to complete your result card together with a presentation that shows you the step by step instructions.

This has been a very stressful time for some of us and we would really appreciate that you now follow the League Rules and all enquiries come through Club Secretaries unless they are to do with fixtures then Managers may contact their fixture secretary.

Team Passwords will be sent out ASAP which you will need to pass on to all Managers/Coaches together with attached.

Good luck to everyone for the Season ahead and hope everyone enjoys the football which is what this is all about.
