League Update: 13.10.2017 – League Meeting

Dear Member Clubs,

There is a Mid Herts Rural Minors League General Meeting being held on Thursday the 19th of October, at The Shamrock Club, Ridgeway, Welwyn Garden City, AL7 2AD, which starts at 8.00 pm.  Please find attached the Agenda.

The small bar will be open from 7.30pm for beverages.

Club Secretaries are reminded that if they are unable to attend, a representative from their Club must attend instead; failure to do so will result in a fine of £50.00 being charged under Rule 5(M).

League Update: 10.10.2017 – Registrations + Transfers

Dear Member Clubs,

As you are no doubt aware, there have been some issues regarding Registrations (and the collecting of cards).  Pleased be advised that as from today, 10.10.2017, the process will be as follows:-

Registrations

1.    All registrations forms should be sent to registrations@midherts.com in the usual way by 9:00 pm on Monday evening, in order to be processed for the following weekend;

2.    All player cards which are to be de-registered, (these need to be received by Monday in order to be processed for the following weekend), should be returned by post to:-

MHRML c/o 46 Cotton Road, Potters Bar, EN6 5JG.

Please note:-  It is essential de-registering takes place on Monday if the new registration(s) will take the team over the permitted number of players, as new cards will not be able to be released.

3.    Registration cards (when ready to be released) will be sent to Club Secretaries by first class post on Thursday mornings.  Club Secretaries can then distribute to their Managers.

Please ensure that the League have the correct postal addresses for Club Secretaries.

Transfers

1.    Completed Transfer Forms, Payment and ID cards should continue to be sent to the address on the Transfer Form by 9:00 pm on Monday evening in order to be processed for the following weekend.

2.    Transferred card(s) (when ready to be released) will be sent to Club Secretaries by first class post on Thursday mornings.  Club Secretaries can then distribute to their Managers.

Should you prefer still to collect cards, you will need to let me know (at the email address below) as your registrations/transfers are submitted and when cards are ready, I will advise where they can be collected from and when.

League Update: 01.10.2017 – Change in Management Committee

Dear Member Clubs,

Please be advised that due to personal reasons Alison Foster, General Secretary has stepped down with immediate effect.  The League hopes that her privacy will be respected.

The Committee have been working steadfastly behind the scenes to ensure the effectiveness of the League continues as it has in the past.

The General Secretary’s role will be covered in the interim, by Maxine Carter, general.secretary@midherts.com.

Please find some useful information which may assist you in your role this season.

Player Checking

It is the clubs responsibility to check the players you are registering are eligible. Please make sure you are checking your players are clear from suspension or sine die by using the following link:

Suspension Start Dates

Following any case that has an automatic suspension (Red Card, 5/10/15 cautions) all suspensions will commence 7 days from the date of the offence.  The onus is on the Player and Club to ensure the suspension is served irrespective whether paperwork is received or not.

Late Payment & Response Update

If a late fine is applied this will be due 14 days from the issue of the fine and will amount to 25% of the original amount invoiced.  Failure to pay will result in a Club suspension on the first Monday 7 days after the monies were due.

Wrongful Dismissals

All red cards with the exception of those for use of offensive or insulting or abusive language/gestures (S6) and receiving a second caution in a game (S7) can be appealed.  For an appeal to be successful, you must prove that the referee made an obvious error in sending the player off.
