League Update: 06:08:2017 – Key Dates

Dear Member Clubs

We are receiving lots of queries regarding dates etc, information of which were given out at the AGM.  Can I please remind you of the following and ask that you send all League updates to your Managers:-

Registrations

The first cut-off date for registrations to be with registrations@midherts.com for guaranteed issue at the handout meeting is 16th August 2017.

The Second cut-off date for cards to be guaranteed for the start of the season, is 22nd August 2017.  These cards, which will be ready by 30th August, will need to be collected from me at 151 Churchgate, Cheshunt, Herts, EN8 9DY at a mutually agreed time.

It is an FA requirement that teams have the minimum number of players registered 10 days before the start of the season (ie 30th August), failure to do this will mean you cannot play the first week of the season.

As a reminder, the minimums are as follows:-

Handout Meeting

Tuesday 29th August at 7.30 pm, Shamrock Club, Welwyn Garden City, Herts.

Season Start Dates

Non published age groups U7-U11, Saturday 9th September, published age groups U13-U18 Sunday 10th September.

First League Meeting

Thursday 28th September 8pm, Shamrock Club, Welwyn Garden City, Herts.  All Clubs must send a representative or will be subject to a fine.

Presentation Day – Change of Date

Sunday 10th June 2018, The Spotlight, Hoddesdon.

We still have outstanding affiliation numbers and very few clubs have sent their registrations information in.   Please do this as soon as you can as there is a lot of work that we need to do once you have completed your actions.

Can I also ask you to remind Managers that they should be coming to you as Club Secretary with their questions rather than direct to the Committee.

League Update: 24.07.17 – Affiliation Update

Dear Member Clubs,

Thank you to those of you who have replied to my earlier requests for your respective Club affiliation numbers.

I appreciate that the WGS website had some issues and these caused some delays but I am assured that these problems were cleared at the beginning of last week.

We still have 19 clubs who are not showing affiliation numbers and we are unable to complete the sanctioning of the League until all Clubs who propose playing in MHRML are cleared.

Can I ask you to chase with your relevant FAs and respond asap with your number copying your reply to admin@midherts.com as well as general.secretary@midherts.com .

I am sure you appreciate that there is a lot of work for the Committee and Fixtures Secretaries to do prior to a ball being kicked for the new season and your help in moving this forward is much appreciated.

League Update: 19.07.2017 – Registrations

Dear Member Clubs,

Can we please remind you that Registration spreadsheets should be sent to the registration team as soon as possible.

To date only 14 Clubs have returned their registrations, which leaves 59 Clubs outstanding.

Please do not leave it until the last minute.

League Update: 16.07.2017 – Final Constitution Set

Dear Member Clubs,

Please find attached the Constitution for MHRML 2017 -18 season.

The League received numerous Appeals and where possible the Constitution has been amended.   Where an Appeal has not been successful, the results of that team will be monitored closely over the first few weeks of the season and we will move any of these teams if we feel that they are placed incorrectly.

We also reserve the right to move any teams that were successful with their Appeal should they turn out to be in the incorrect division.

The Constitution for the forthcoming Season has now been set and a copy has been sent to the Herts FA, they will now check to make sure all Clubs who have joined our League have affiliated to a County FA.

A few key reminders/actions:-

All Clubs must affiliate every year to a County FA, any Club who is found not to have affiliated will be suspended from playing football.  As a League we will be in breach of FA Rules if we let Clubs play without being affiliated to the FA.  Please can I remind Club Secretaries that if you have changed your team names since affiliating with your County FA you must inform them of any new team names

If Clubs have added new teams since affiliating with their County FA, please remember to let your County FA know or your new teams will not be covered by the FA Insurance.  Your County FA needs to know about all teams from Under 7’s through to Under 18’s.

If we are notified that Clubs are using a different team name by their County FA, we will have no option, but to change the Constitution to reflect this and to pass on any fines we receive to the Clubs concerned.  If the teams concerned then need their MHRML registration cards reprinted with the new name, it will be at a cost to the club of £2 per card.

Clubs must check the attached constitution to confirm that we have the correct team names for your teams.  If you notice any discrepancies please can you email general.secretary@midherts.com and admin@midherts.com so changes can be made before Mitoo is published.

Fixture secretaries will be reviewing the results from our non-published leagues on a regular basis.  Due to the number of new non published teams requesting the bottom division there are a number of age groups which have more than one ‘bottom’ division as there were too many to put into one.  It is essential that those children taking part in these leagues develop their football skills, are be able to take part whatever their ability and have the opportunity to feel success.  Teams will be moved up and down during the season in order to meet these objectives.

There will be no more changes to the Constitution now, unless it is a team name change. All the appeals have been heard by three Members of the Committee and a decision has been reached and no further Appeals can be submitted with the possible exception of one age group.  U16 age group teams only.  Following the Appeals process and changes to teams in this age group we have found ourselves with 15 teams in division 3.  This is clearly too many.  Therefore we have split this into 2 divisions and each team will play each other 3 times.  Should we lose at least 2 teams from these divisions prior to the start of the season, we will put them back into 1 division.

We will not be accepting any more 11-a-side teams for this coming season, but if Clubs wish to add more non-published league teams please contact me by email  to discuss as soon as possible and the League will do its best to facilitate your requirements.
