League Update: 16.07.2017 – Final Constitution Set

Dear Member Clubs,

Please find attached the Constitution for MHRML 2017 -18 season.

The League received numerous Appeals and where possible the Constitution has been amended.   Where an Appeal has not been successful, the results of that team will be monitored closely over the first few weeks of the season and we will move any of these teams if we feel that they are placed incorrectly.

We also reserve the right to move any teams that were successful with their Appeal should they turn out to be in the incorrect division.

The Constitution for the forthcoming Season has now been set and a copy has been sent to the Herts FA, they will now check to make sure all Clubs who have joined our League have affiliated to a County FA.

A few key reminders/actions:-

All Clubs must affiliate every year to a County FA, any Club who is found not to have affiliated will be suspended from playing football.  As a League we will be in breach of FA Rules if we let Clubs play without being affiliated to the FA.  Please can I remind Club Secretaries that if you have changed your team names since affiliating with your County FA you must inform them of any new team names

If Clubs have added new teams since affiliating with their County FA, please remember to let your County FA know or your new teams will not be covered by the FA Insurance.  Your County FA needs to know about all teams from Under 7’s through to Under 18’s.

If we are notified that Clubs are using a different team name by their County FA, we will have no option, but to change the Constitution to reflect this and to pass on any fines we receive to the Clubs concerned.  If the teams concerned then need their MHRML registration cards reprinted with the new name, it will be at a cost to the club of £2 per card.

Clubs must check the attached constitution to confirm that we have the correct team names for your teams.  If you notice any discrepancies please can you email general.secretary@midherts.com and admin@midherts.com so changes can be made before Mitoo is published.

Fixture secretaries will be reviewing the results from our non-published leagues on a regular basis.  Due to the number of new non published teams requesting the bottom division there are a number of age groups which have more than one ‘bottom’ division as there were too many to put into one.  It is essential that those children taking part in these leagues develop their football skills, are be able to take part whatever their ability and have the opportunity to feel success.  Teams will be moved up and down during the season in order to meet these objectives.

There will be no more changes to the Constitution now, unless it is a team name change. All the appeals have been heard by three Members of the Committee and a decision has been reached and no further Appeals can be submitted with the possible exception of one age group.  U16 age group teams only.  Following the Appeals process and changes to teams in this age group we have found ourselves with 15 teams in division 3.  This is clearly too many.  Therefore we have split this into 2 divisions and each team will play each other 3 times.  Should we lose at least 2 teams from these divisions prior to the start of the season, we will put them back into 1 division.

We will not be accepting any more 11-a-side teams for this coming season, but if Clubs wish to add more non-published league teams please contact me by email  to discuss as soon as possible and the League will do its best to facilitate your requirements.

League Update 06.07.17 – Rules, Website + Committee Contact Information

Dear Member Clubs,

Please find attached the League Rules which have now been approved by the Herts FA. Please ensure that these are passed on to all your Managers and Coaches.

Also attached is the Management Committee Directory listing all Committee contact details, please again ensure that this is passed on to all your Managers and Coaches.

Appeals Update

I would remind you that the cut off date for any appeals is midnight on Saturday 8th July, please ensure these are sent to both general.secretary@midherts.com and admin@midherts.com  email. Late appeals will not be accepted.

The appeals team have received many emails, these will not be responded to individually. Once all appeals have been looked at, the final League Constitution will be sent out for next Season which will show you the outcome of your appeal.

League Update 04.07.17 – Registrations

Dear Member Clubs,

You will by now have received your email explaining the process for registrations for the coming season.

I just want to confirm that this year we do not require details of phone numbers, health conditions etc.

This is in line with data protection requirements.

It is the responsibility of the individual Clubs/teams to ensure that this information is available for their own use and is not required for registration purposes.

Please do not raise anymore questions/emails/calls relating to this topic.

League Update 30:06:17 Draft Constitution

Dear Member Clubs,

Please find attached the revised Draft Constitution for the 2017/18 season.

Other than the amendment for the U10 age group no other amendments/appeals have been actioned on this version.  These will be actioned/considered in line with the timescales in the original letter.

Please ensure that any responses are sent to both admin@midherts.com and general.secretary@midherts.com to ensure they are actioned.

Being new to the role could you also enter your club name in the response subject title (it helps me track people and start to make associations) between clubs and contacts.

League Update: 29/06/2017

Dear Member Clubs,

Please find attached a copy of the Draft Constitution for the 2017-2018 season for the Mid Herts Rural Minors League.

If Clubs have any queries or wish to Appeal against where teams have been placed, can they please email admin@midherts.com.  All correspondence must be in writing and via the Club Secretary.

Appeals
The deadline for lodging any Appeals is Saturday 8th July 2017.  No Appeals received after this date will be considered.

The Appeals Committee will be Neil Kimsey (Chairman), Steve Reid (Deputy Chairman) and Carole Marshall (U16/U18 Fixtures Secretary).  The Final Constitution will be set by 17th July 2017.

The League has grown again this year and as such, there are many age groups where there is a different number of Divisions than previous years.  Therefore, when looking at where your teams are placed, please take this into consideration and assess the teams you are grouped with, not the name of the Division.

In respect of non-published age groups U8-U12:-

  1. There have been some new Divisions created, due to the number of teams in the relevant age groups, therefore the Division title may differ from that anticipated;
  2. The Management Committee will move teams as the season progresses to ensure teams are in an appropriate Division for their standard, and if necessary, after looking at results, will make changes and create further Divisions within the age group during October half-term;
  3. Please only appeal if you believe your team has been put in totally the wrong Division and you have clear justification to support this;
  4. Many of the non-published teams have stated they are development or completely new teams, so it would be impossible to get these correctly placed from the outset.  Please bear with us on this.

In respect of published age groups U13-U18:-

All teams will be closely monitored by their Fixtures Secretary throughout September and early October and if there is clear evidence of an incorrect Divisional placing, those teams will be moved into a more appropriate Division.

Can I ask Club Secretaries to  check the Constitution to ensure that we have the correct full teams’ names listed.  Please note that those teams listed with the League must be the same as those registered with the County FA to which they are affiliated to.  Any amendments/discrepancies with team names should be notified to admin@midherts.com  by no later than 10th July 2017.
