League Update 27.01.2017

Dear Member Clubs,

As you are no doubt aware, there are a large number of Cup games due to take place this weekend and with the high possibility of unfavorable weather ahead, the League would like to highlight the Rule in respect of reversing fixtures.

If there is a playable pitch, please ensure that priority is given to any Cup matches which are scheduled.    If a match does not go ahead, please ensure that Managers notify their Fixtures Secretary as a matter of urgency, equally if  the match is played, they should advise their Fixtures Secretary of the result asap and by no later than 6:00 pm.

Please reiterate the above to all your Managers and Coaches so that they are aware of the applicable Rule.

Water Logged/Unplayable Pitches

Rule 10 E(iii)

“In the event of a postponement due to unplayable pitches or adverse weather conditions, it is the responsibility of both Teams to make all efforts to play the game.

If an alternative pitch can be found or the fixture can be reversed (within 24 hours of the scheduled match) then this must occur, even if the fixture has already been reversed (this may mean that teams play both fixtures at home or away). Teams should not be stood down until both Teams have confirmed with their Fixture Secretary that an alternative pitch cannot be secured.

If either Manager refuses to play or has stood their team down, without seeking an alternative pitch the Discipline Committee will ask for a written explanation from the Manager concerned.  If the Discipline Committee finds the written explanation invalid or it is not received, they may impose a non-fulfillment fine and/or award the game to the opposing team”.

Many thanks.

League Update 28.12.16

Dear Member Clubs,

Re: Divisional Cups

The draws have now taken place for the U9, U10, U11 and U12 Divisional Cups. The first round for some of these Divisions are planned to take place on the 15th of January 2017.
Please find attached a team sheet that needs to be completed for each of your teams registered in the Under 9’s, Under 10’s, Under 11’s and Under 12’s in our League. All the details you need to complete the team sheets can be found on Mitoo using your password for your team or alternatively on the players registration cards. Once these team sheets have been submitted you will be unable to change the boys/girls between the teams for the Divisional Cups only.

Please remember that in respect of the Under 9 and Under 10 age groups although your squad can be up to a maximum of 12 players you are only allowed to take 10 players to any cup match including the finals.

Team Sheets should be completed as soon as possible and emailed to carole.marshall46@btinternet.com and upon receipt of each paired team sheets the fixtures will be released on Mitoo, please do not email to ask if your team sheet has been received as acknowledgements will not be sent.

Any general queries regarding cups that cannot be answered by looking in our Rules, please do not hesitate to contact me.

Kind regards.
Amanda

League Update

Dear Member Clubs,

League Fixtures start again on the 7th of January 2017 and will be released tomorrow, please remember to add your kick off times asap; please don’t wait until the New Year as Referee allocations will be made as soon as possible.

Herts FA – I have been asked to remind all Clubs that their offices will be closed from midday on the 23rd of December and will reopen on Tuesday the 3rd of January.

Whole Game System – Can Clubs please keep an eye on their online accounts over the festive period as you can still respond to cases and make payment of any fines during this time.

Registration Cards

Yet again, this weekend we had teams and odd players from teams, turning up to play with no registration cards. Our rules are quite clear “NO CARD – NO PLAY” regardless of the age group! Please do not take players to a match that are not registered, it is not fair on the opposition or referee to refuse to allow a player to play; the person who brings the player is responsible and should know better.

We are also having teams turn up to matches with missing registration cards asking for players to play and show the cards after the kick off. The same rules apply “NO CARD – NO PLAY”

If teams continue to do this, they will be called in for a Disciplinary meeting with the League.

U9 – U12 Divisional Cup Draws

The draws for the divisional cups will take place over the Christmas break and will be inputted to Mitoo in the usual way.

With the final games for 2016 having now taken place, the Management Committee would like to wish all players, managers, match delegates, referees, linesman and last but not least the parents that take their children week in week out to the matches a very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year.

Kind regards.

League Update

Dear Member Clubs,

Remembrance Weekend

This coming weekend is Remembrance Weekend. A minutes silence should be held before each game on Saturday and Sunday.

The League are also happy for teams to wear adhesive poppies that many teams have purchased from www.poppies4kits.co.uk

Portable Plastic Goals

Can you please ensure when using the small portable plastic goals that they are secured to the ground, we have had quite a few instances recently where kick off has had to be delayed by the referee whilst the the goals are secured, I am sure I do not need to remind you that this is a serious Health and Safety issue.

Registration Cards

Yet again this weekend we had teams and odd players from teams turning up to play with no registration card. Our rules are quite clear “NO CARD – NO PLAY” regardless of the age group! Please do not take players to a match that are not registered as it is not fair on the opposition or referee to refuse to allow a player to play; the person who brings the player is responsible and should know better. If teams continue to do this they will be called in for a disciplinary meeting with the League.

Kind Regards.
