League Update – Postponement of General Meeting

Dear Member Clubs,

You may be aware there have been several issues lately within Mid Herts Rural Minors League.

Having consulted with Herts FA we have made the decision to postpone the league meeting due to be held on Thursday 28th September at The Shamrock Club.

The new date is THURSDAY 19TH OCTOBER 2017, 8 PM AT THE SHAMROCK CLUB.

By postponing the meeting for 3 weeks we are hoping to be in a position where we can provide clearer direction on how the league will be progressing this season.

With apologies for the late notification but it is felt better to postpone and have one meeting than have to call 2 meetings close together.

Regards

Alison

League Update: 30:08:17 – Club Assistant Workshop

Dear Member Clubs

The Mid Herts Rural Minors League are pleased to be able to inform you that we have arranged another Workshop to help your willing volunteers learn a little bit more about how to “run the line”.

The Workshop will be delivered by Hertfordshire FA’s Referee Development Officer (and ex-Premier League and FIFA Assistant Referee) Phil Sharp.

We have booked the main hall of the Shamrock Club in Welwyn Garden City for Thursday the 12th of October 2017 from 7.30 to 9.30pm. The doors will be open from 7.15.

Please pass this information onto your team managers who need to find an Assistant Referee each week. The Workshop is intended for the adult volunteers who need the help.

It is not designed for already qualified Referees or for players who would like to become Referees. It is genuinely aimed at the keen adults who would like some helpful advice. Therefore, there is a minimum age of 18 for attendees.

Phil will make the evening fun, informative and active! I’m sure everyone who attends will learn a lot and have a good time. Participants do not need to bring anything along as everything needed will be provided.

In order to book a place, please ask your Club Assistant Referees to send an email to Gordon Marshall, our Referee Development Officer at gordon.marshall@midherts.com

We will strictly only accept individual bookings and we will not accept block bookings from Clubs.

Although there will be no charge for the Workshop, the League hopes that people who book to attend actually do so as non-attendance deprives a place to someone else that wanted to be there.

Places are limited to 30 so make sure the applications are sent in as soon as possible.
Full details will be sent directly to participants.

These Workshops are popular, so get in early!

Regards

Alison
