League Update: 04.12.17 – Divisional Cups U9-U12

Dear Member Clubs,

Re: Divisional Cups

The draws will take place for the U9, U10, U11 and U12 Divisional Cups over the Christmas period. The first round for some of these Divisions are planned to take place on the 20th of January 2018.

Please find attached a team sheet that needs to be completed for each of your teams registered in the Under 9’s, Under 10’s, Under 11’s and Under 12’s in our League. All the details you need to complete the team sheets can be found on Mitoo using your password for your team or alternatively on the players registration cards. Once these team sheets have been submitted you will be unable to change the boys/girls between the teams for the Divisional Cups only.  New signings will be able to be added providing permitted numbers aren’t exceeded.

Please remember that in respect of the Under 9 and Under 10 age groups although your squad can be up to a maximum of 12 players you are only allowed to take 10 players to any cup match including the finals.

With the large amount of work the committee need to do over the Christmas break I would ask that Team Sheets should be completed as soon as possible and emailed to carole.marshall@midherts.com and upon receipt of each paired team sheets the fixtures will be released on Mitoo after the draws have been made.

Any general queries regarding cups that cannot be answered by looking in our Rules, please do not hesitate to contact me.

Kind regards.

League Update: 03.12.2017

Dear Member Clubs

As you are aware from the General Meeting, the League are taking Discipline very seriously this season for the benefit of all concerned.

As previously advised, Mitoo has been commissioned to produce a Discipline report.  The report highlights:-

a)    Late or incomplete team sheets;
b)    No Respect barrier;
c)    Match delegates (and whether wearing a bib);
d)    Red/Yellow cards – also highlights inconsistencies between team sheets and refs cards;
d)    Average sportsmanship mark (based on refs cards and/or opposition score);

We have received some very positive feedback from Club Secretaries particularly from bigger Clubs, where it is difficult to be aware of situations with  all teams.  Many have identified issues with teams due to a lack of understanding from some of their new managers. It has also given Club Secretaries indications of more serious problems they may wish to deal with.

It is our intention to send out an updated report over the Christmas break. The report is not produced as a stick to beat Clubs,  but a guide for Club Secretaries who may wish to help some of their managers.  The League Committee also use the report to tackle repetitive issues and problem team/clubs.

In the past few weeks we have also commissioned Mitoo to produce a report to identify the breaking of the following Rule applicable to U7 to U12 following complaints that the rules aren’t being followed.

‘players cannot be moved from team to team on the day of the match’

Please ensure all your Managers understand that a player cannot play for two teams of the same day.  Some clubs have already been contacted and some will be contacted shortly, the 9v9 and Mini-Soccer appendices are attached. PAppendix 4 and 5lease pass on to your Managers.

Kind regards
